The math

Missed calls are the most expensive thing in your shop

27%

of calls to HVAC companies go unanswered — worst during peak season, when every call counts most.

85%

of callers who don't get an answer never call back. No voicemail. They just dial the next shop on Google.

$500+

average value of a lost residential service call — replacements and emergencies run into the thousands.

62%

of missed calls happen after hours — nights, weekends, holidays. Exactly when nobody's answering.

Miss just 2 calls a week at a $400 ticket. Recover even 1 in 5 of them and that's $8,300 a year back in your pocket — DialBack costs $3,564.
Based on published industry averages for residential HVAC service calls. Recovery figures assume a 20% text-back recovery rate.

The system

How it works

1Missed call comes in

A customer calls while you’re on a roof, in an attic, or after hours.

2Instant text back

They get a reply in seconds — before they can dial your competitor.

3Booked on your calendar

The system answers their questions and schedules the job.

The difference

Life without it vs. life with it

Without DialBack

  • Missed calls hit voicemail — and 85% of callers won’t leave one. They dial the next shop.
  • Peak season buries you: the more work you have, the more calls you lose.
  • Evenings go to returning calls that already booked elsewhere.
  • No record of who called, what they needed, or whether anyone followed up.

With DialBack

  • Every missed call gets a text in seconds — the lead stays yours.
  • It answers their questions and books them straight onto your calendar.
  • Works nights, weekends, and holidays without overtime.
  • Every conversation logged — jump in from your phone anytime.

Questions you might have

Do I have to change my business number?

No. Your number stays on your trucks, your cards, and Google. We set up one 30-second forwarding code on your phone — when you can't answer, the call quietly rolls to DialBack and the text goes out. Customers never see a difference.

Does it sound like a robot?

Judge for yourself — call the demo line above and hang up. Short, plain texts, one question at a time, written like a local shop. No corporate script.

Can I jump into a conversation myself?

Anytime. Every text thread shows up on your phone, and the second you reply, you're driving. DialBack handles the ones you can't get to — it never locks you out.

Does it work nights and weekends?

That's the whole point. 62% of missed calls happen after hours — DialBack answers at 9pm on a Saturday the same as 9am on a Tuesday, and books straight onto your calendar.

How fast can I be live?

About a week. Most of that is the phone carriers registering your business for texting (a legal requirement for every texting service). Setup on your end is one phone call and one forwarding code.

What does it cost — any contracts?

$297 a month, flat. No setup fee, no per-text charges, no contract. If it doesn't book you a job in the first 30 days, you don't pay.

Text messaging program

SMS terms & how consent works

DialBack is a missed-call text-back service for trades businesses. When a customer's phone call to a participating business goes unanswered, our system sends that caller a text message so the business can respond, answer questions, and schedule service.

How people consent to receive messages

  1. By calling the business — this is how nearly every message starts. A customer dials the business's phone number. If the call goes unanswered, one text message is sent back to the number that placed the call, replying to that inquiry. Messages are only ever sent to numbers that contacted the business first. Further messages are sent only in response to that customer's own replies.
  2. By texting the business directly. A customer texts the business number and gets a reply.
  3. Through the chat window on this website. A visitor opens the chat at the bottom of this page and enters their name, phone number, and question. Before submitting, they must check a consent box that is not pre-selected and is not required in order to buy anything. The exact wording shown in that chat window is reproduced below, and the complete terms of the messaging program are published on this page.

Program details

Message types: replies to your inquiry, answers to service questions, appointment scheduling and confirmations. Customer care and transactional messages only — no marketing blasts, no purchased lists, no messages to anyone who did not contact the business first.

Message frequency: varies based on your conversation. Most people receive only a handful of messages relating to a single service request.

Cost: message and data rates may apply. DialBack does not charge consumers for messages.

To stop: reply STOP to any message and messaging ends immediately. Reply HELP for help, or email [email protected].

Carriers: carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Privacy: mobile information and SMS opt-in consent are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. See our privacy policy and terms of service.
